Michelle is a psychologist who has been working in private practice for over 9 years, and as a psychologist for over 13 years. She developed an interest in relationship counselling when she started private practice. Since then, Michelle has actively pursued ongoing development in this area, and is passionate about facilitating relationship change with couples.
In her work with couples, Michelle also addresses sexual issues and dysfunctions in a relationship. Her work in this area has most commonly included mismatched libidos and desire differences, porn addiction, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and vaginismus. Michelle believes it is important to address these issues in an open and trusting environment, and facilitates couples dialogue about these issues, giving them information and strategies, to build on their sense of intimacy and sexual connection, which is vital in a healthy relationship.
Michelle enjoys all aspects of her psychological practice and also offers individual therapy for adults, adolescents and children. In particular, she is interested in childhood anxiety, and adolescent issues. Michelle’s practice is evidence based, and she applies CBT, DBT, Schema therapy and ACT in her work with individuals.
In addition to Michelle’s specialties in relationship counselling Sydney, sexual difficulties and family counselling, she is also available for appointments for pre-marriage counselling, anger management, and problems caused by narcissism.
