Wendy has practiced psychology for over 20 years during which time she has worked with adolescents and adults individually, as couples and in family groups. She currently works in general private practice as well as the forensic area and has extensive experience in assisting people with depression, anxiety, emotional management difficulties including anger, as well as those suffering loss and grief.
Wendy’s relationship counselling provides individuals and couples with helpful strategies to overcome the many challenges faced in establishing and maintaining a happy and intimate relationship. She has valuable experience working with conflict in relationships and can assist partners in negotiating their differences to obtain outcomes which respect the needs of both.
Wendy has a warm, non-judgemental approach and bases her work with people on her strong belief that respect (of both self and others) is the core factor which underpins a functioning, successful and contented life. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness strategies to assist individuals and couples in developing positive communication and reducing life and relationship stressors.
Wendy is available for phone consultations for clients who are unable to attend the clinic.
