Amy is a relationship-focused counsellor with a background in mental health, crisis support, and communication. She works with both couples and individuals, tailoring her approach to suit each client’s unique goals and context—whether that means addressing immediate patterns of conflict or engaging in deeper therapeutic work to explore attachment wounds and strengthen emotional connection.
Amy welcomes all relationship styles and structures, including monogamous, non-monogamous, and polyamorous partnerships. Her areas of focus include emotional avoidance, intimacy and sexual connection, infidelity repair, life transitions, separation, co-parenting, conflict and improving communication. She is particularly passionate about helping clients understand the deeper cycles and unmet needs that drive disconnection, guiding them toward clarity, compassion, and more fulfilling ways of relating.
With a Graduate Diploma and Master of Counselling (specialising in relationship therapy), and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Amy draws on a range of evidence-based modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy, psychodynamic approaches, Gottman Method, Relational Life Therapy, and neurobiologically informed couples work. Her previous experience in crisis support, disability and mental health services informs her grounded, attuned, and culturally aware practice.
Amy offers a collaborative, empowering space that honours each client’s individuality, pace, and goals. She works responsively, attuning to what each person or couple needs—whether that’s space to process, gentle challenge, or practical tools—while holding a steady focus on helping people reconnect with themselves and their important relationships in deeper, more meaningful ways.
