How many years counselling experience do you have?

I have over 12 years of counselling experience. During the past four I have developed a speciality in couples counselling.

What are three strengths you have as a Psychologist/Counsellor?
    1. I seek to be honest and wholehearted, wanting to understand where the couple is at and how I can tailor the treatment to the specific needs of the couple.
    2. Prior to Psychology, I had a former career in corporate banking. Hence I bring to my counselling a thorough understand of work and broader life issues.
    3. Finally, I try to get the balance right between practical strategies to support behaviour change, coupled with a deeper exploration of the core issues to create deeper meaning and connection.
What is the most satisfying and fulfilling part of the work you do?

I enjoy helping couples gain a better understanding of themselves and their relationship and using these insights to create sustainable change and a deeper, more meaningful union.

What’s an example of a couple you have helped the most?

My work is not about one highlight or great outcome with a specific couple. What I value and find rewarding is the couples ability to trust and work through the counselling process, be open to self reflection and have the courage to change. Supporting a couple transform from arguments, heart ache and pain to news ways of communicating and understanding each other, makes the work worthwhile!
