Carly is a Mentor, Meditation Teacher, Podcast Host, and mother of two. Through the lens of lived experience, she offers compassionate, non-judgmental guidance as you navigate the intricate terrain of complex relationships / family dynamics, coercive control, narcissistic abuse, and more.
Carly has initiated a community support group over 5 years ago. She co-founded ‘The Happy Mind Project’ as an online resource through the pandemic to support mental health via free offerings to a global audience.
During her mentoring sessions, she offers wisdom and insight and understands deeply the often subtle / covert nature of coercive control and how insidious this form of control can be. She helps individuals feel seen and supported as some face overwhelming challenges.
With over 25 years of meditation practice, she has cultivated a deep sense of presence, calm, and resilience that ripples through to her clients experience. Her trauma-informed Lifeline Family and Domestic Abuse Training supports her knowledge in being about to recognise and respond appropriately. Carly has trained with Relationships Australia as an ‘Accidental Counsellor’.
Her work emphasises taking action from a place of safety and non-reactivity, addressing issues without escalation, and ensuring that all parties in these complex situations are considered with care.
Her passion lies in creating spaces for healing and empowerment. Carly’s genuine warmth and honesty foster an environment where her clients feel safe to share their stories and begin their journey toward understanding and healing. Through one-on-one mentorship, her podcast ‘The Shared Road Podcast’ and community group work, she has helped many individuals reclaim their sense of self and navigate through the difficult terrain of toxic and abusive relationships feeling hopeful about the future.
