Colleen holds a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Languages, Applied Linguistics, and Japan Studies. Colleen is a registered clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
With over 20 years of experience, Colleen has worked extensively in educational and community settings, supporting children, adolescents, and families. She has served as a school counsellor and guidance officer, providing assistance to students aged 10 to 18, and has also worked as an inclusive education teacher, managing cases for students with disabilities.
In her private practice, Colleen employs a process-oriented approach, utilizing modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy, third-wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), and expressive therapies like Sandplay and symbol work. She is also a qualified clinical supervisor, offering professional supervision to school counsellors.
Colleen’s areas of focus include anxiety, burnout, grief and loss, stress, and workplace issues. She works with teenagers, adults, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities, providing services in English, Indonesian, and Japanese.
