She provides tools, resources, and knowledge to help the client to achieve their goals and desires. She creates a rewarding relationship with her clients to help them to obtain a renewed sense of wellbeing.

She utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy in order to meet the client’s therapeutic needs.

What are three strengths you have as a Psychologist/Counsellor?
    1. Friendly, warm and outgoing personality who values inclusivity and connection
    2. Ability to listen in such a way as to recreate a person’s experience, leading to the generation of an unexpected or unanticipated change in context and outcome for that person going forward
    3. Flexible, resourceful and emotionally intelligent
What is the most satisfying and fulfilling part of the work you do?

People discovering their own unique strengths and abilities to deal with whatever is happening in their life and seeing the peace, freedom and fulfilment that comes from that.

What’s an example of a couple you have helped the most?

My client was dealing with significant weight gain over the last ten years and despite diet and exercise regimes he could not lose the weight, nor understand why he hadn’t been able to lose the weight. In a conversation about his relationships over time, we discovered when his first wife had left him, he made the decision to ‘just get fat’ inside a context that ‘no one loved him anyway’. Discovering this allowed the client to not only lose weight, but also allowed for a full and open connection between the client and his current wife with her experiencing communication at a much-increased level.
