    Felicity is a warm and competent professional with 20+ years experience working to make a difference in people’s lives and overcoming barriers to change.  She welcomes diversity in all its wonderful forms and seeks to provide a safe and inclusive space for all.

    Felicity will work with you to identify your unique strengths both as individuals and as a couple and will support you to develop skills, tools and processes that will help you get ‘unstuck’, move through ‘gridlock’ and out of habitual patterns of behaviour that bog you and the relationship down.

    Felicity draws from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including: Gottman Therapy; Ellyn Bader’s Developmental Model of Couples Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Internal Family Systems (‘Parts’ therapy); Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction; Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Based Therapy.  She bases all her work on the premise of openness, acceptance and loving-kindness to oneself and others.

    What’s an example of a couple you have helped the most?

    I had a delightful couple who had a young child and were on the verge of separation.  Through our work together they found their love for each other again and just as importantly, their friendship.  I knew they would be ok when, having begun to argue on the way to one of our sessions, they managed to stop themselves and apply some of the skills we had been practising.  They arrived at the session giggling between themselves and proceeded to snuggle on the couch, looking proud as punch that they had halted an argument in its track for the first time in months.
