Frieda is an experienced counsellor, supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families. As registered level 4 member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and Clinical level with Psychotherapy and Counselling Association of Australia (PACFA) Frieda supports clients with a range of life issues that people struggle with.
Frieda’s empathic approach supports her clients to feel heard and validated in a safe space while walking beside them in life’s journey. Frieda helps her clients to enrich their life by navigating life challenges that they face by supporting them to develop tools to use in their day-to-day life. Frieda helps draw client awareness and empowers them to manage their own thoughts, feelings, and emotions which helps foster healthy relationships in the future, leading to a meaningful and rich life.
Frieda believes that people are impacted by difficult childhood events, memories and relationships. This impact can stop people from moving forward in life to reach their goals and achieving their true potential. With gentle guidance and therapeutic interventions, Frieda, supports clients to resolve unhelpful memories from the past by supporting the client in the present to help them find a positive future. Frieda is a client led counsellor who uses an integrative approach to counselling from a number of evidence- based therapies dependent on the individual’s needs. These therapies are: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment- Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Gottman.
