Helena believes in using a strength based approach to help couples find the spark in their relationship which they lost. She helps to identify what is important and meaningful to each couple and uses this to inspire and motivate positive change in the relationship, while also teaching skills and strategies to help tackle life’s challenges.
Using an Integrated humanistic framework which is enshrined in the principles of self-empowerment is the overall aim of her therapeutic approach.
Helena is a clinician experienced in working with a diverse group of clients, including relationship counselling. She previously worked for NSW Health and NSW Attorney General as a psychologist previously. Helena holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Psychology (Neuropsychology); a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Graduate Diploma in Counselling which included family therapy. She is also an Accredited EMDR therapist; and is accredited with Medicare as a Pregnancy Support Counsellor.
Helena is trained in Child Inclusive Mediation through Dr Jennifer McIntosh, and in addition, also has extensive background working in the trauma related field.
