With experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families, Jacob has developed skills to support people through varying phases of their life. He has experience supporting people dealing with mental health concerns, relationship challenges, family dynamics, suicidality, self-harm, trauma, grief and loss, career, culture and belief.
As an artist, Jacob is also deeply influenced by the creative arts and philosophy. This means Jacob can incorporate creative forms of dialogue, metaphor and imagery to help people explore their creative capacities, meaning making, systems of belief, self-identity and larger socio-political systems.
Jacob’s therapeutic approach is primarily by a client centred perspective, incorporating Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, supplemented with Existential Humanistic Therapy, СВТ, ACT, Jungian Psychology, and Gestalt. Jacob prides himself on being able to adapt therapy in order to suit the individual needs of the person.
