Talking to someone that you don’t know about your challenges and vulnerabilities as a couple, is a pretty unsettling feeling. Jennifer’s approach is warm and compassionate with no judgement, no pressure; working at your pace, and your own style.
Originally from South Africa, Jennifer has her own 2 little people at home, as well a 4-legged furry one. Jennifer speaks fluent Dutch and also fluent in Afrikaans. She has been working with multi-cultural couples and clients for over 5 years, drawing on different therapies and that suit the needs of each person in the relationship. One size does not fit all.
Jennifer is a neuro-divergent affirming psychologist (that’s the fancy term for supporting neuro-spicies in this neurotypical world).
Jennifer is a trauma-trained therapist using Gottman, IFS, EMDR, ACT, CBT, Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness approaches as her go-to’s in therapy.
Jennifer is a member of AHPRA, EMDRAA, and AAPi, ensuring she stays up to date with best practices in the field.
Who says therapy always has to be serious? Humour and creativity are fantastic ways of learning about yourselves and your relationship, changing unhelpful habits, improving communication, and creating the quality relationships that you deserve.
