I am an intuitive and empathetic counsellor, with over twenty years’ experience gained in hospitals, residential rehabilitation, and counselling services. I work with individuals (15+), experiencing mental health challenges, from mild to moderate depression, anxiety and interpersonal issues, through to more complex and co-occurring presentations. I am also a passionate Gottman trained couples counsellor, and I love supporting parents and families of all shapes and sizes to thrive.
My practice is safe and welcoming for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients. I treat the whole person in context. This means I consider psychological, biological and social aspects of health and well being.
Prior to private practice, I held teaching roles at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and worked alongside Psychiatrists on the Crisis Assessment (CATT) and Substance Use and Mental Illness Treatment teams.
When I am not working, I enjoy time with my family, gardening and bush walking, and I love getting out of town when I can.
‘It is a privilege to work with people and hear their stories. With good support and strategies, clients can experience profound and positive change, and develop more clarity, optimism and confidence about their circumstances, and their future.’
