    Nerida has been practising as a clinical psychologist for over nine years. She is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Society of Australian Sexologists. Nerida specialises in working in the area of sex and relationship therapy and is driven to help her clients achieve a satisfying and fulfilling relationship. Nerida recognises that intimacy is important for a client’s relationship and their overall quality of life.  

    Nerida has considerable experience working with individuals and couples regarding relationship and intimacy issues. Nerida enjoys working with clients with low libido, pain during intercourse, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, sex and porn addiction, sexual interests outside of the normal, communication issues, infidelity, blended families, and negotiating family roles. She enjoys working with all clients, including older adults and same sex couples 

    Nerida presents as warm, genuine, and empathetic. Her relaxed nature creates an environment where clients can feel comfortable to share their concerns. She starts her therapy with a thorough assessment and works with clients to develop a treatment planNerida uses a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Sex Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Gottman techniques, and mindfulness to help her clients achieve a healthy and satisfying relationship. By attending sessions with Nerida clients can improve communication, repair a relationship after an affair, improve relationship satisfaction, and create a more fulfilling sex life. She provides clients with practical tools they can use to further improve their relationship after therapy. 

    Nerida tailors her treatment according to the needs and goals of each client, and sees her work with clients as a team effort.

    To work with couples to create a relationship that both parties feel more satisfied and happy with.

    What’s an example of a couple you have helped the most?

    Recently I worked with a couple who presented with a 20 year history of lack of intimacy and affection. We worked together to understand the causes behind the lack of intimacy. They learnt practical tools to help them improve both their sex life and their overall relationship.
