More About Nina

  • Trauma and long term stress plays havoc with our mind and body – I feel satisfied when a person understands that it is a survival mechanism of their body and that it is a normal function that needs to be managed. This can help to change the story of their life from ‘I’m going mad’ to ‘this is a normal response’ or similar. Normalising the body’s response when under stress is an important aspect to allow healing to occur over time.

  • A client who had suffered childhood sexual abuse and extreme family dysfunction is now able to set appropriate boundaries in her life and is able to recognise when she is being triggered and know how to manage her body when this occurs.
