Nina is a trauma-informed relational psychotherapist who works with individuals, couples, and groups to navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. She specialises in relationships, addiction, attachment issues, intimacy/connection and trauma, with a particular interest in the role of attachment in emotional wellbeing. She believes that many of our struggles are rooted in early relational patterns, and that therapy can be a place to understand, repair, and strengthen the way we connect – both with ourselves and others.
Nina holds a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and postgraduate training in Gestalt therapy. She is a Clinical Member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and has completed advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for both individuals and couples, including EFIT Mastering Skills and the EFT Externship, which deepen her work with attachment patterns, emotional processing, and relationship repair. She also draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Constellations, and a range of somatic and experiential approaches. She continues to deepen her knowledge through regular professional development, including participation in the Boston International Trauma Conference.
In the therapy room, Nina is warm, real, and grounded. Clients value her authentic, compassionate, and collaborative style. She brings her real self into the room where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether working with an individual processing difficult life events or a couple seeking to repair attachment injuries and rebuild trust, she believes in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for healing and growth. She offers both in-person and telehealth sessions from her private practice.
