More about Sasha

How many years counselling experience do you have?

Over 23+ years

What is the most satisfying and fulfilling part of the work you do?

One of the most satisfying and fulfilling aspects of my work in counselling is witnessing clients gain insight into their experiences, develop self-compassion, and build resilience. I find it rewarding to see moments when a client connects the dots—when they recognise patterns, understand their emotions more deeply, and begin to believe in their ability to create meaningful change. Being able to support them in navigating their challenges and empowering them to implement strategies that enhance their well-being makes this work truly fulfilling.

What’s an example of a couple you have helped the most?

I have supported many clients in understanding and managing their executive dysfunction, which often affects their ability to plan, organise, and make decisions. These challenges can create distress in various aspects of life, including personal relationships, family dynamics, and the workplace. By exploring these difficulties in a safe and supportive space, my clients have felt validated in their experiences, gaining insight into their struggles and how they impact daily functioning. Through therapy, they have developed strategies to enhance their executive functioning, improve communication, and foster self-compassion, ultimately leading to greater confidence and well-being.
