She has always possessed an ability to comfortably establish and maintain relationships with a multitude of individuals, from within a mixture of diverse environments in the health care fields. This is notably demonstrated in her ability to develop and maintain relationships with many leading Mental Health and Medical Specialists across Adelaide and South Australia, culminating in the best outcomes for her clients.

As a committed counsellor with outstanding communication skills, Emma establishes an initial plan with the client to work towards the best outcome and wellbeing for her clients.

Her analysis of client requirements allows for a focussed, individual, person-centred pathway to aid them in building on their strengths. From this therapeutic approach, clients can be confident that they can realise achievable goals throughout the counselling process as well as into the future.

Emma continues to inspire her clients and ensures that they are provided with the utmost empathy and support throughout the entire counselling process.

What are three strengths you have as a Psychologist/Counsellor?
    1. Allowing the client to lead their own journey
    2. Providing support in all aspects of the counselling process
    3. Possessing a caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental nature
What is the most satisfying and fulfilling part of the work you do?

Being able to allow the client to become empowered through the use of the tools I provide to them. Knowing the client doesn’t need me anymore and they are now on a new journey in their life.

What’s an example of a couple you have helped the most?

An example is about a husband had lost his wife due to health issues and it was sometime between him finding a new partner. He found a new partner but he was really struggling to be able to find love after loss. This brought a number of issues into the relationship and both parties were struggling with being able to continue with the relationship as it was. With the use of counselling techniques and tools, I was able to help him to realise he was deserving of love and he was able to go on to marry his new partner. I was also able to help his partner by opening up about things she was struggling with.
