Emma is a caring and empathetic counsellor who is a motivated, conscientious, organised and highly skilled individual. She works with a range of issues such as alcohol and other drugs, financial difficulty, homelessness, mental illness, problem gambling and much more.
Armed with modern strategic and analytical thinking abilities, and utilising her multitude of counselling methodologies and case management skills, Emma is well equipped to assist clients through their counselling journey. She has a special interest in working with families, domestic violence and she is passionate about helping and assisting Women and Children who have been victims of abuse and violence.
Emma has worked not only with adults, but children and adolescents, for over 8 years and prides herself on ensuring all clients are cared for in a considerate nurturing environment. Having also worked with numerous families and couples, Emma brings a great deal of understanding in not only relationships, but also a depth of experience from working with abuse, neglect and domestic violence. She has a DHS Vulnerable Person’s Clearance, DHS Working with Children Screening Clearance, National Police History Clearance and RAN-EC training.
Regularly working with health care professionals, Emma often provides support to clients dealing with health issues. Issues which may not only affect their lives, but may have an impact on others close to them. She has always possessed an ability to comfortably establish and maintain relationships with a multitude of individuals, from within a mixture of diverse environments in the health care fields. This is notably demonstrated in her ability to develop and maintain relationships with many leading Mental Health and Medical Specialists across Adelaide and South Australia, culminating in the best outcomes for her clients.
Emma is an approachable counsellor with no client concerns too big or small. Through the use of proven techniques, Emma allows her clients to feel empowered and satisfied working at their own pace. A calm and peaceful environment is provided where clients are encouraged to develop the tools needed to unpack and overcome the challenges they may be facing, both past and present.
