    About Naomi

This hart therapist has a Masters Degree in Counselling, registered with ACA and a Bachelor of Education. She specialises in Couples Counselling using the well-known Gottman method, as well as Individual Counselling.

She is committed to nurturing a safe and confidential environment, encouraging all individuals and couples to express themselves freely and openly about their concerns and desired outcomes. Knowing that you are being listened to and heard in a respectful environment can help you navigate your way through difficult times.

Whether you are experiencing relationship or marital issues, life challenges and stress, communication difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, this therapist is dedicated to supporting you. She offers tools that enhance wellbeing and foster more effective communication, both individually, and in partnership with those you love and care for.

Following the well-known Gottman method in couples counselling, she offers valuable tools to help rebuild foundations and healthier lines of communication, to establish a more caring and loving relationship. With the belief that “healthy relationships are cultivated”, she emphasises the importance of building and rekindling friendship to help couples work through their differences.

In relationships, a deep connection can sometimes include pain. However, by consciously expressing fondness and admiration, couples can learn to manage conflict in order to create shared meaning.

This therapist nurtures a safe and confidential environment, for all couples and individuals to express themselves freely and openly about their concerns and desired outcomes. This respectful environment is developed by people talking about themselves and their experiences, thoughts and feelings, relationships, and behaviours, all the while knowing that they are being listened to and heard.

She utilises a range of techniques from evidence-based practices including but not limited to:
    – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
    – Cognitive-Based Therapy
    – Mindfulness, and Meditation.

She is a passionate supporter of LGBTQIA+ Communities.

She feels humbled and privileged to be allowed into her client’s world, and is passionate about the power of therapy and the therapeutic relationship.

What are three strengths you have as a Psychologist/Counsellor?
    1. Life experience
    2. Warmth
    3. Non-judgemental
What is the most satisfying and fulfilling part of the work you do?

Seeing couples feeling lighter even after just 1 session.

What’s an example of a couple you have helped the most?

A woman detected tangible signs that her husband intended to cheat on her. He had tried to let her know in various ways that for him, things weren’t “good”. It was only when he left blatant hints that she realised how serious the situation was. Both needed to hear each other’s point of view. Both needed to take responsibility for the situation, and by talking to me, they both realised this and very quickly, they improved their connection and are now referring friends and acquaintances to me.
