    About Therapist

Claire has provided counselling and support to individuals, couples, and families for over 10 years, both in private practice and in the community health sector.

Her approach to counselling starts by allowing space and time to get to know clients, and what has brought them to seek support with her. She enjoys getting to know people from all walks of life, and aims to create a warm and trusting experience.

She has helped people who are affected by anxiety, depression, relationship problems and trauma, from childhood through to senior years.

Her approach is guided by years of experience and training in psychological and therapeutic techniques including psychodynamic/relational theories, the polyvagal theory, trauma informed practice, cognitive behavioural therapy and focused psychological theories. She often weaves all these techniques together in a session.

She is a registered mental health social worker with the AASW and trained for 2 years with Australia’s preeminent couples counselling organisation, Relationships Australia.
