Daniel is an approachable and experienced relationship counsellor and clinical psychologist. He has worked in Melbourne for over 10 years supporting couples of all kinds, ages, and stages. In his work with couples and individuals, he values respect, non-judgement, collaboration, and healthy change. He brings a deep knowledge of the emotional, cognitive, and behavioural processes that underly relationships, from his training and experience as a clinical psychologist.
Daniel enjoys working with couples, aiming to create an emotionally safe space for growth and problem solving. He has learned that the couple relationship is the most important, and often the most challenging area in life. He is grateful to have the role of supporting couples through difficult times, a role which helps not only the couples but many others in the world around them.
Life and relationships are never simple or “one size fits all”. He has learned to be open to each unique couple and their situation, and to tailor counselling to their needs and goals. He is couple-focussed, and seeks to provide the most professional, supportive, and effective service to each and every couple he works with.
He has a special interest and skills in situations where a third-party is impacting a relationship. Examples of third-parties can be in-laws, children, other family, friends, and affairs.
He can assist individuals and couples with a range of issues including mental illness, personality disorders, addictions and trauma. Daniel also has experience working with clients diagnosed with ASD.
