Donna is warm, empathic and non-judgmental, and has been practising counselling since 2016. She has broad experience locally and internationally, having lived overseas as an expatriate. She is also culturally sensitive and has a deep understanding on the role of culture for both individuals and couples.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science (Psychology) and Masters of Counselling from the University of Canberra. She is also registered with PACFA (Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation Australia).
She has a strong passion for helping people who are experiencing relationship challenges. She understands there are highs and lows in every relationship and no relationship is perfect. When couples are experiencing difficulties in their relationship sometimes it can feel isolating, especially when they hold it all in. In order for relationships to thrive, rather than just survive, it’s important to understand relationship dynamics and how to work with them.
Donna works with couples to gain an understanding of where they might need help and provides practical strategies to support this. Throughout this process, she holds the space for clients to be able to express their emotions and perspectives. Working with her is a collaborative experience, and she will regularly check in with you to ensure you are getting what you want from relationship counselling. She uses an integrative approach and this allows her to create sessions that are tailored specifically to your needs.
Donna offers addiction counselling for couples sessions only.
