Pamela is insightful, non-judgmental, authentic and warm. She is an accredited Level 4 counsellor and supervisor with the Australian Counsellor Association (ACA). She has more than three decades of international and local experience in counselling and education. She has worked as a relationship counsellor, therapist, educator, trainer and supervisor.
Over the course of her training and career in counselling and education, Pamela has a wide variety of experience working with children, youth and families, couples, and women from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has a special interest in working with relationship and couple’s issues, domestic and family violence, grief and loss, youth, and family and life’s transitions.
She has trained teachers and supervised counsellors, and lectured Social Work students. She has a passion to empower others to reach their full potential and facilitates groups and workshops for the private, corporate and education sector.
She is a holistic counsellor and draws on different counselling modalities to suit the client’s needs.
Her aim for every client is to create positive change within themselves and see them live a meaningful and full life.
She has completed her externship with the International Institute for Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples as well as Imago Relationship Training. As an Associate of The Hart Centre, she is committed to work, especially with couples who are experiencing a disconnect in their relationship and/or couples who desire to deepen their connection with each other.
She has a deep sense of the importance of spirituality, and how it contributes to a person’s well-being, and how it works in with the counselling process. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, enjoys time with family and friends, is passionate about cooking and enjoys travelling. She enjoys a good laugh and believes that “Laughter is the best medicine”.
