About Our Quizzes

About Our Quizzes

Sometimes the hardest part is working out what’s actually going on. You know something feels different – in your relationship, in yourself, in the way you and your partner have been lately – but putting your finger on it is another thing entirely. That’s what these quizzes are for.

Each of our free relationship quizzes takes about five minutes, and your answers are completely confidential. Some look at your relationship as a whole – its strength, its patterns, whether it’s time for some support. Others are about you – how you do closeness, what you’re carrying, the questions you’ve been turning over privately. All of them are written by The Hart Centre, drawing on more than 20 years of working with Australian couples and individuals.

A quiz can’t tell you what to do – nothing should. There are no right answers here, and no result is a verdict. But people often tell us that seeing their situation laid out clearly brings a kind of relief – the sense of finally having words for something they’ve been circling on their own. That clarity is a genuinely useful place to start, wherever you go from here.

How to use the
quizzes

How to use the
quizzes

There’s no wrong way in – start with whichever question is loudest for you. Answer based on how things actually are, rather than how you’d like them to be – the honest version is the useful one. And go at your own pace: some people take one quiz and stop there, others work through a few over time as different questions surface.

When you finish, you’ll get your result straight away, along with a plain-language explanation of what it tends to mean and what might help next. Your answers stay confidential, and where you take it from there is entirely up to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before you start - your privacy, how the quizzes work, and what happens next.

  • Yes – every quiz is completely free, with no catch and no payment step. They’re part of how we help people understand their relationships, whether or not they ever book a session with us.

  • Yes. Your individual answers are confidential – they aren’t shared, published, or added to any marketing list. We may ask for your first name and email if you’d like to subscribe, but it’s not necessary or mandatory to see your results, so you choose whether you’d like to hear from us.

  • It depends on what you’re asking of them. A good quiz can’t diagnose anything – but it can reliably surface patterns you’ve been living inside without seeing clearly. Ours are written by The Hart Centre, drawing on more than 20 years of relationship counselling with Australian couples, and they’re designed to do one job well: help you understand where you stand. People often tell us the result put words to something they’d sensed for a long time. Treat your result as a clear starting point rather than a verdict, and it will serve you well.

  • No. Your results are shown only to you on your results page, and do not require you to opt in to any marketing to receive them (although, you’ll have the option, if you want). If you share a device with your partner, you may want to use a private browsing window – the quizzes on more sensitive topics are designed with exactly that in mind.

  • About five minutes – 15 to 20 questions, with your result shown straight away.

  • No. They’re self-knowledge tools, not clinical assessments – a way to see your situation more clearly, not a substitute for talking with a professional. If your result raises something that concerns you, that’s exactly the kind of thing a relationship counsellor can help you make sense of.

  • Whichever question is burning for you right now. If you’re not sure where to start, How Strong Is Your Relationship? is the broadest and our most popular – it looks at connection, conflict, trust and teamwork, and your result will point you toward anything worth a closer look. If a specific question brought you here – an attachment pattern, a betrayal, a decision you’re circling – start with the quiz that names it.

  • Every quiz works solo – you don’t need your partner’s participation or knowledge.

  • Yes – the Stay or Go Clarity Quiz is built for exactly that crossroads. It won’t tell you what to do, but it helps you understand what’s keeping you stuck and what you’d need to know before deciding, in either direction.

  • Many quiz sites make you hand over your email before they’ll show you anything. Ours don’t – you’ll see your result either way. We only ask for your name and email if you’d like your result sent to you along with some follow-up tips and resources, and that’s entirely optional. If you’d rather stay completely anonymous, you can.

  • That’s entirely up to you – and we mean that. Taking a quiz doesn’t put you on a call list. No one from The Hart Centre will ring you, chase you, or treat your result as a sales lead – that’s a promise. Your result comes with a plain-language explanation and some suggestions for what tends to help, and for many people that’s enough. But if your result raises something you’d like to talk through, we’d genuinely love to help – we can match you with a therapist who works with exactly what’s come up, whenever you’re ready. Get Matched or call us on 1300 830 552.

  • Of course – if you’d like to. Relationships have seasons, and so do you: a quiz taken in a rough patch will read differently to one taken six months into things improving. Some people retake a quiz after starting counselling, or after a big conversation, as a rough way of checking what’s shifted. Your earlier answers aren’t stored against you anywhere – each time you take it is a fresh start.
