Leroy is a deeply empathetic psychotherapist and registered counsellor. He brings over eight years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults (aged 10–35), providing therapy that is warm, relational, trauma-informed, and non-pathologising. His integrative approach blends psychodynamic, existential, and experiential models with core evidence-based techniques, including IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EFT, and mindfulness-based practices.
Leroy’s therapeutic ethos centres on co-creating a safe, authentic, and psychologically attuned space, where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. Whether in individual or group settings, he prioritises the relational foundation as the catalyst for meaningful change, particularly for those navigating trauma, emotional dysregulation, grief, identity questions, or relational stress.
His journey into youth mental health began with the loss of two young friends to suicide, which led him to co-found the Open Up peer-support program with One Eighty Inc in 2017. Over five years, Open Up delivered more than 430 group sessions, supporting over 3,400 young people through grief, emotional pain, and social disconnection. Leroy’s work here reflects his profound belief in the healing power of peer-led, communal support, and his commitment to removing stigma through lived sharing.
In private practice, Leroy offers individual therapy, group counselling, and mentoring (‘walk-and-talk’ and meditation) in person at Bilibio Psychology Clinic and online. He is also known for his work in facilitating community mental health and men’s wellbeing programs. Drawing on philosophy, mindfulness, and play, he supports clients in their search for meaning, emotional resilience, and self-compassion.
Leroy holds a Master’s in Psychotherapy & Counselling, a Bachelor in Philosophy, and is registered with PACFA. He continues to deepen his practice through specialised training in trauma, group facilitation, creative therapies, and suicide intervention.
He currently sees individuals and groups online, offering accessible, culturally-informed, and relational mental health care—with a special focus on young people, community connection, and emotional growth.
