Please note: Paula-Jane only works with couples and does not offer individual counselling.
Paula-Jane is an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist passionate about supporting couples through relationship and sex therapy. Valuing each client as an individual with their own story and sense of self, Paula-Jane draws on a range of therapeutic approaches best tailored to her client’s partnership. She holds a strong importance to guiding her clients to live their best authentic lives with themselves and others.
Relationships are precious, and Paula-Jane finds great privilege in supporting couples during times they need the space to reconnect and navigate challenges and fractures. Her couples counselling explores the emotions behind words and behaviours, past experiences and attachment styles, helping partners create a safer, more secure and nurturing bond.
As a trained sex therapist, Paula-Jane understands that talking about sex can feel difficult. She offers a calm, accepting and welcoming space where clients can move at their own pace. She supports couples with concerns such as mismatched desire, sexual dysfunction, sex addiction and sexual trauma, helping them strengthen intimacy and sexual connection.
Paula-Jane welcomes all love stories. She works with diverse relationship constructs from queer open and polyamorous relationships to traditional monogamous heterosexual marriages. She is LGBTQIA+ and sex worker friendly, and works affirmingly with people of diverse genders, sexualities, communities, lifestyles and abilities. She also has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent couples, including those with Autism and ADHD. She understands how our upbringings and society can shape the roles and patterns we play in our relationships and empowers and supports couples to create their own special intimate relationship.
Paula-Jane believes the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. Her greatest joy of her role is seeing people leaving her care feeling content, lighter, calmer and connected.
