Renee is a warm, empathetic and compassionate counsellor with diverse theoretical interests including The Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Sand Play Therapy, among others. She has special interests in couple counselling, trauma, loss, grief and bereavement, family difficulties, LGBTIQ+ and neuro diversity including people living with disability and their carers.
The moment when a client sees the truth of a situation or they have a moment of clarity in their thinking, commonly known as the ‘ah-ha’ moment, gives me a sense of satisfaction that I have done good work. I am hopeful that the insight clients have in that moment encourages clients to make the necessary changes in their lives.
