Shaun is a fully qualified, registered psychotherapist who supports men, women and couples with relationship is
sues, attachment disturbances, and trauma. He works with individuals and couples in both short term and long term psychotherapy and counseling.
As an integrative psychotherapist, he tailors his approach to suit your needs as a couple. Rather than viewing you as a list of symptoms or problems, he takes into account how external factors such as family, past relationship history, and even your lifestyle might be contributing to the challenges you’re facing.
I value honesty and trust in the therapeutic space by encouraging heartfelt and sincere communication, while holding a ‘no secrets’ policy. Rather than positioning myself as an expert that is going to ‘fix’ or ‘cure’ the relationship, I prefer to collaborate with my clients, enabling them to discover solutions to their own problems. I also take a trauma focused approach which involves promoting safety and regulation in both the couple as well as the therapeutic relationship.
My work feels most fulfilling to me when I’m able to help people find safety in relationship, and witness how that sense of safety enables them to express their inner world.
